Student Wellness Policy (Board Policy & Administrative Regulation 5030)

The Student Wellness Policy is a “new” board approved policy that went into effect July 1, 2006. The main focus of the Wellness Policy is student health and promotes prevention and reduction of childhood obesity. The policy directs how services will be provided such as:
1. Nutrition, health and physical education K-12th grade.
2. What kinds of food and beverages can be provided and sold at the different school levels.
3. How the policy will be implemented and evaluated.
